This sweet and gooey cinnamon, jelly filled, iced Danish
will be calling your name at midnight...!
So Good..you can't stop eating them....
Morning..Lunch..Dessert..Snack..

YOU'LL NEED....

1 pack of dry yeast
1/4 cup of warm water
4 cups of flour
1 tsp of salt
1 cup butter
3 egg yolks
1 sup of sour cream
1 tsp of vanilla
1 cup of sugar
8 tsp of cinnamon
1 egg white slightly beaten

bakes at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
what ever "flavor" jams or jellies you love!!!

1.)Soften Yeast in the bowl of warm water..and set aside...
2.)Mix the Flour and Salt in a large bowl...
3.)Cut in Butter until coarse, like corn meal...
4.)Beat Egg Yolks till they are thick and lemon colorish...
5.)Mix in Sour Cream, Vanilla and Yeast to Egg Yolks...
6.)Then add to the Flour and Salt mixture...
7.)Mix until well blended, cover and Chill for 3 hours...
8.)Mix Cinnamon and Sugar together...
9.)Sprinkle C&S mix on a board...
10.)Roll out Chilled Dough mix into a 12" square and cut into 4" strips...
11.)Sprinkle with the c&S mix and roll on board the strips several times...
12.)Last time..twist and fold into a doughnut shape...
13.)Brush with slightly Beaten Egg White for sheen...
14.)Then bake...

TOPPING
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of vanilla
1 1/2 tbl. of cream or milk

Mix the above and spread on warm Danish...
then TOP with favorite jelly or jam!

the more you roll and sprinkle with the C&S mix the better they are!
